A partner in healthcare for our region since 1945, Inland Northwest Blood Center has come a long way since it was just the “blood bank.” A not-for-profit community blood center, Inland Northwest Blood Center is the only provider of blood and blood products to more than 35 hospitals and medical centers in the Inland Northwest.

Inland Northwest Blood Center provides sophisticated, state of the art medical technology to physicians and patients of the Inland Northwest region.

Hospital Services ship and distribute blood and blood components to our valued community partners.  Last year INBC distributed about 45,000 Red Blood Cells, 7,000 Apheresis Platelets 6,000 Fresh Frozen Plasma products and 900 Cryoprecipitate units.

Inland Northwest Blood Center does more than just collect the blood. As an added value for our hospitals, the Transfusion Laboratory performs compatibility testing with advanced antibody detection methods for a patients’ specific transfusion needs.

The Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Laboratory at INBC provides specialized histocompatibility testing for patients awaiting organ transplantation, for patients requiring HLA compatible platelet transfusions, and for patients with conditions associated with certain HLA antigens.
